Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre

Carrigtwohill FRC CLG provides a wide range of services to the Communities of Carrigtwohill, Lisgoold, Leamlara and their environs.

Family Support, Adult Mental Health, Adult Counselling and Adolescent counselling services with a new addition to our existing services – Gambling therapist service, are provided from the Taylor Centre Building serving the needs of our catchment areas. Occasionally and if capacity is available within the service, supports are provided to the greater East Cork Area.

Family support staff members also deliver various support groups and training courses as Non Violent Resistance training, Restorative Practice, Rainbows, Parenting under Pressure, Parents Plus, Supporting Each Others.

Carrigtwohill FRC collaborates with CETB and provides a space for adult groups as Wellness and wellbeing, Sewing classes, English Classes and Computer courses.

Family support staff members also actively work with CDYS youth worker in area.

The Childcare service operates out of the Family Resource Centre and offers an early morning breakfast club for children prior to they going to school together with Preschool and Afterschool facilities, including full day care for preschool aged children and a lunch club. Other services provided within the Family Resource Centre include a parent and toddler group, baby massage, art therapy and recently established Infant Mental Health group.

Our gambling therapist offers one to one counselling , a group work and presentation delivery on gambling problem for adult and adolescent to local groups and organisations within area.
